The US Navy has christen the fast-attack submarine USS Utah , marking the addition of a multimillion-dollar boat to a fleet increasingly focused on undersea superiority.The vessel carries the hull number SSN-801, aligns with the area code for Salt Lake City and much of northern Utah.The new USS Utah revives a historic name. The battleship USS Utah (BB-31), later converted to a target ship (AG-16), was among the US vessels sunk in the December 7, 1941, Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
