Hello everyone, welcome back again with us on another episode at Military TV. In today’s session, we will learn why the magazine of an AK-47 have a curved shape? if you are curious to the answer, don’t go anywhere and stay tune with us ONLY at this channel! Have you guys ever wondered why the magazines are shaped the way they are? Like some of them look like bananas while some others are a little bit more straight or even curved, have you ever thought about it? As generally known that machine guns have a distinctive curved magazine, indicating that they are ferociously lethal weapons capable of firing multiple shots each trigger push. Nevertheless, having ‘banana shape’ is far more than merely an oddity design. Thus, the curved magazine performs significant advantages over a straight one especially in battlefield conditions. Every type of ammunition cartridge has its own characteristics. All cartridges come in a variety of shapes, grain weights, bullet heads and measurement. They all have a unique appearance and generally have a little cone shape to the base, which explains why they stack differently when stacked on top of one another. The question arise, how much curve is actually needed for each bullet type? It depends on how the ammunition stacks up. As each cone shaped round with variable diameters, the varying angles give each stack of ammunition more or less of a curve. Therefore, certain gun magazines have more of a curve than others.
