On 29 August, the Indian Navy commissioned into service INS Arighat, the second Arihant-class SSBN (Ship Submersible Ballistic Nuclear, ie, a nuclear-powered, ballistic missile-carrying submarine).INS Arighat was commissioned into the Indian Navy at the Ship Building Center (SBC) at Visakhapatnam in the southern coastal state of Andhra Pradesh.
