Video footage shows a drone hitting the Kremlin and exploded early this morning local Moscow time. Russia said it thwarted the attack and that Putin was not in the building at the time. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday that Putin was working from his residence in Novo-Ogarevo, an estate just a few miles west of Moscow.The allegation of an assassination attempt, which could not be independently confirmed by sources, was made in a statement shared by the Kremlin press service with Russian state news agencies a few hours ago.Ukraine has denied any involvement.
