What is the Stormer Missile System the UK is Planning to Send to Ukraine

General

The Stormer HVM is a type of air defense system with a limited range, created mainly to defend armored units against the danger of low-flying aircraft and attack helicopters. The British Army currently uses this air defense system, and it was introduced into service in 1997, with a total of 151 systems produced. The Stormer HVM gets its name from the High Velocity Missile it employs, specifically the Starstreak High Velocity Missile, which has already proven effective in Ukraine. While previously the UK only supplied portable Starstreak MANPADS to the Armed Forces, the Stormer HVM is a complete system mounted on a full-tracked chassis. Let’s have a close look at this vehicle.
