The US Air Force just announced that an F-22 Raptor recently scored the longest known hit on an airborne target using an AIM-120 AMRAAM, or Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile. But just how far out that target was… remains a mystery. The record breaking shot took place near Eglin Air Force Base in Florida last Fall, but hadn’t been disclosed until now.
