Ukraine has been preparing for a spring counteroffensive to retake its territories from Russia.According to a US Army colonel interviewed by a Ukrainian TV station, Ukraine has a potentially game-changing arsenal that could be used in that expected counteroffensive. The colonel stated that there is no single “silver bullet” weapon, but the key to success would be Ukraine’s willingness to use different systems that have already been provided by Western aid.The international community, not just the US, has provided Ukraine with approximately 600 types of advanced military equipment such as tanks and artillery. The colonel believes that the successful deployment of this extensive arsenal by Ukrainian troops will be significant during the expected counteroffensive in the next few weeks and months. Since the interview, the UK has sent Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine, with more to come, further increasing Ukraine’s weapons stockpile.
