Ukraine’s Magura V5 USV the thorn in Russian Navy Black Sea fleet.The MAGURA V5, a Maritime Autonomous Guard Unmanned Robotic Apparatus, debuted at the DSEI 2023 exhibition in the UK, showcasing advanced USV technology by STE (SpetsTechnoExport). Capable of reaching speeds up to 42 knots and covering 833 km, a V5 model was spotted near Crimea’s Sevastopol naval base in November 2023. Its sleek, V-shaped hull houses 320-kilogram explosives and utilizes water-jet propulsion instead of traditional propellers. Notably, it features two Starlink terminals. The MAGURA V5 has been operational in key military encounters, sinking multiple Russian vessels, including the Ivanovets corvette.
