The Ukrainians have successfully destroyed a Russian submarine that was originally struck with cruise missiles in September of 2023. Russia spent the last 10 months attempting to repair the submarine and return it to Russian safety and Ukraine struck it before it could leave for safety. Russia and the West conducted their largest prisoner exchange since the Cold War and Russian dissents who were released are calling for sanctions on Russia to be removed.
