At 216 metres in length each, they will be among the largest vessels in the British fleet, second only to the Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers.Each Fleet Solid Support ship will measure 216m in length and 34.5m in width. The ships will have a displacement of 39,000t.These large ships will be armed with Small Caliber Guns and Phalanx CIWS, as well as GPMGs and .50cal machine guns for force protection.Names for the ships would be RFA Stromness, Lyness and Tarbatness.
