General

A lot of planning goes into a military Flyover of an NFL game. The Secretary of the Air Force, the venue and the unit all coordinate to make the day happen. A JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller typically) or a pilot typically sits in the stadium with a radio, informing the pilots of what note of the national anthem the singer is on. This allows the lead pilot to fly overhead on the last note. This action also simulates flying down a “Hot Target Line” for a simulated bomb run.Special thanks to the 175th Wing of the Maryland Army National Guard and the Baltimore Ravens. This video originally aired last year after a Baltimore Raven’s Game and was recut/remastered for the superbowl.
