Russia Volcano Update; Growing Lava Field at Erupting Krasheninnikov

A lava field is growing on the north flank of Russia’s Krasheninnikov volcano, which was triggered to erupt by an earlier magnitude 8.8 earthquake. This lava flow covers nearly 100 acres, and is still expanding. Elsewhere, the Klyuchevskoy volcano is producing 500 meter high lava fountains, which are occurring atop its more than 15,000 foot high summit peak.
