Russia “Repels Notional Enemy Aerial Attacks” Amid NATO Drills, Mounts Naval Drills With China, Iran

Iran, Russia and China began joint navy drills in the Gulf of Oman on March 12. The tri-nation drill, dubbed “Maritime Security Belt 2024,” focused on the protection of maritime economic activity. As part of the drill, the Chinese fleet arrived in the waters near the southeastern Iranian port city of Chabahar on March 11. The Chinese defence ministry said the drill is beneficial to strengthening ties and cooperation between the naval forces of the three countries.
