Romania has signed the purchase of 32 former Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) F-16 fighter jets for 388 million euros (387 million USD).The price is a complete package including equipment, spare parts, maintenance, and other technical training services.The sale and purchase of the F-16 and its packages was carried out by the Romanian government with the Norwegian Defense Materials Agency (NDMA).The Norwegian government said the contract was signed on 4 November.Prior to delivery, all 32 F-16s will undergo the necessary maintenance and modifications to become the Romanian M6.5.2 configuration.The delivery of the first group of F-16s to Romania will take place at the end of 2023 and will be followed by deliveries of the second in 2024.
