President Trump’s helicopter arrives in London as police block road for large plane

A helicopter that President Trump may use as ‘Marine 1’ arrives in the UK aboard a C-17 military transporter. Police shut the road as the large plane comes into the small London airfield; RAF Northolt. The US Air Force C-17 Globemaster transported a US Marine Corps VH-3D Sea King. The presidential helicopter is operated by Marine Helicopter Squadron 1 (HMX-1) and may take the callsign ‘Marine One’ when the Commander-In-Chief is on board. More are expected with six US Army CH-47 Chinooks that have also arrived to support the trip.The President of the United States has been invited to stay at Windsor Castle with King Charles III and Queen Camilla on his second State Visit to the United Kingdom. He was last hosted by Queen Elizabeth II on his first State Visit in 2019. A large security entourage will accompany the president on his travels, utilizing multiple aircraft and motorcades.
