Western countries have not only been providing weapons to Ukraine but also real-time intelligence against Russian forces. The Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) is one such asset helping NATO countries relay battlefield information to Ukraine. The 14 AWACS aircraft of the NATO Airborne Early Warning and Control Force* are owned by the alliance itself. Boeing E-3 Sentry, the NAEW&C Force’s “eyes in the sky” is based on a 707 airframe with four TF-33-PW110A turbojet engines.
