AUKUS Submarine Task Force Chief, Vice Admiral Jonathan Mead says AUKUS is a “massive opportunity” in expanding the workforce to build, maintain, operate and regulate submarines.An agreement has been signed to build a “skills and training academy” to develop welders, electricians and project managers, he told Sky News reporter Trudy McIntosh. “We are very much gearing up our workforce to be able to support submarines rotating out of Western Australia.”
