Lockheed Martin is a big deal. The biggest deal, in fact. They are the single biggest government contractor in the United States and the biggest arms producing & military services company in the world. They employ over 114,000 people of which 60,000 are engineers and scientist. They did 47 billion dollars* worth of business with the US government in the year 2021. Lockheed is the reason why the American military is two generations ahead of their adversaries guaranteeing security around the world. This is where the military meets the industrial complex. A phenomena that has been evolving since the industrialization in the 1800s first made it possible to equip average soldiers at scale, allowing for armies of millions instead of mere thousands.
