Israel announced it has officially completed the development of the Iron Beam laser interception system. A true milestone of Israeli innovation, the system is designed to help Israel confront threats from rockets, drones, and missiles. It is scheduled for induction into the IDF at the end of 2025. The system will be renamed “Ohr Eitan” (“Eitan’s Light”) in honor of Eitan Oster, who fell during a maneuver in Lebanon and whose father was one of its developers.
