Israel has issued the all-clear after Iran fired missiles against Israeli cities in what Tehran called retaliation for the killing of two Iran-backed militant leaders. Israel’s military said there were hits from the missiles but that a large number were intercepted. Tehran said it fired dozens of missiles in response to the killings of Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut and Hamas’s Ismail Hanieh in Tehran this year. Both were leaders of groups widely classified as terrorist organizations. The missile attack came as Israel said it was carrying out raids against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said Israel would retaliate. We spoke to DW’s Jerusalem correspondent Tania Kraemer, Middle East analyst Shani Rozanes, and Kasra Aarabi, from the advocacy organisation United Against Nuclear Iran in London, about what the consequences of this attack could look like.
