A recent report from the Wall Street Journal posits that a great deal of our modern interest in the possibility of alien spacecraft reaching Earth may have been manufactured by the U.S. military through a combination of concerted disinformation campaigns, hazing rituals run amok, and a recent coverup meant to hide this reality from the public.But while this report has garnered a great deal of interest, and outrage, from the UFO community online, it was a different part of the Journal’s investigation that caught my attention — The claim that, in 1967, the United States was testing an EMP weapon, or electromagnetic pulse generator, on its own nuclear ICBM silos, without ever even mentioning it to the Airmen manning or guarding those facilities — some of whom even reportedly took aim at this experimental weapon with their rifles during the test, assuming it to be some sort of alien spacecraft.
