Biden vows to ‘hunt down’ Kabul attackers and ‘make them pay’

President Joe Biden says the twin suicide bombings in Kabul was an attack American intelligence was “worried about” and said ISIS-K, who have claimed responsibility for the attack, will be hunted down.“An attack by a group known as ISIS-K took the lives of American service members standing guard at the airport and wounded several others seriously,” he said.“They also wounded a number of civilians and civilians have been killed as well.” President Biden said the American effort in Afghanistan was an “evacuation effort unlike any seen in history” and thousands have been rescued.“They are a part of an airlift, an evacuation effort unlike any seen in history with more than 100,000 American citizens, American partners, Afghans who helped up and other taken to safety in 11 days,” he said.“Just in the last twelve hours or so another 7,000 have been rescued.”President Biden said the terror group who took responsibility for the twin attacks, as well as anyone who “wishes America harm”, will be hunted by US forces.“To those who carried out this attack as well as anyone who wishes America harm know this: we will not forgive, we will not forget, we will hunt you down and make you pay,” he said.“I’ll defend our interests and our people with every measure at my command.”
