China has sped up J-20 production as a counter to the US F-35 and F-22 deliveries to Japan. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is using “world-class” pulsating production lines to hasten the delivery of its advanced fighter jets. J-20s now “equal, or even exceed,” the number of F-22 thanks to the new pulsating production lines and domestic engines. The overcrowding of the Chinese neighbourhood with US-made stealth aircraft hasn’t gone unheeded by Beijing. The deployments are intended to counterbalance the growing presence of US fighters in the region.
