Demonstrating U.S. military strength and strategic deterrence in the Indo-Pacific region, a U.S. Air Force Bomber Task Force (BTF) comprising B-1B Lancer aircraft, airmen, and support equipment from the 34th Bomb Squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, arrived at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, on January 15, 2025.The deployment has been called “BTF 25-1”, which confirms this is the first Bomber Task Force mission of 2025. It’s unclear how long the deployment will last.The bombers arrived at Andersen Air Force Base on two separate days, January 15 and January 17.
