The A-4 Skyhawk is a light carrier-based attack aircraft created by the American Douglas Aircraft company for the US Navy and Marine Corps in the mid-1950s.The Skyhawk is an implementation of the concept of maximum design simplification in the balance with sufficient combat functionality. Thanks to this, it earned a reputation as a simple, reliable and cheap combat aircraft. The A-4 has served in numerous military conflicts, most notably Vietnam. Later, thanks to the successful combination of price and efficiency, it was actively exported to various countries, served on aircraft carriers in Argentina, Brazil and Australia, and for many years was the basis of Israeli attack aviation. This proliferation was the key to longevity: created in the mid-1950s, the A-4 remained in service until the mid-2020s. A total of 2,960 units were produced.Thank you for watching!
