Ships, aircraft and ground troops participating in exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2026 conducted a live-fire sinking exercise (SINKEX) and sank Ticonderoga-class cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53) and Tarawa-class amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5). The footage includes missile launch and impact scenes from U.S. forces and the Japan Self-Defense Forces: Type 12 Surface-to-Ship Missile, HIMARS rockets, AH-64 Apache with Spike NLOS, JS Kongo (DDG 173) with a Harpoon missile, and F/A-18 Super Hornet with an AGM-158C LRASM.
