A helicopter that President Trump may use as ‘Marine 1’ to attend the G7 summit in France, arrives in Switzerland aboard a C-17 military transporter. This is then followed by multiple US Army helicopters. Two US Air Force C-17 Globemasters have flown in VH-3D Sea Kings from Marine Corps Air Station Quantico in Virginia. The presidential helicopters are operated by Marine Helicopter Squadron 1 (HMX-1) and may take the callsign ‘Marine One’ when the Commander-In-Chief is on board. While CH-47 Chinooks have come from the US Army based in Germany at Ansbach Army Heliport in Katterbach. They will provide helicopter transport to President Donald Trump’s staff, the White House Press Corps and United States Secret Service while he flies aboard ‘Marine One’. World leaders from the Group of Seven nations (G7), and invited guests, are meeting in Évian-les-Bains, France on the shores of Lake Geneva.
