As part of Operation Midnight Hammer in June 2025, the U.S deployed B-2 Spirit bomber against Iran.Reportedly, B-2s dropped 14 GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOP), 30,000 lb bunker busters, on two different sites – 12 on Fordow and 2 on Natanz. The strike was the largest B-2 operational strike in US history, as seven of these bombers, each with two crew members, flew 18 hours into Iran to drop the bunker-buster munitions.
