At one time Tinian was the biggest airbase in the Pacific. It played a pivotal part in the history of the United States, but was lost to obscurity after WWII…until now. The US is rebuilding this vital base at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars. I went to this tiny, remote island in the Pacific to understand why.
