Trieste (L9890) – a new landing helicopter dock for the Italian Navy that is undergoing sea trials, and is expected to be commissioned in June 2022. Trieste was officially launched on May 25, 2019, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Castellammare di Stabia. It is the largest Italian military ship built after the Second World War. When commissioned, it will be the largest ship of the Italian Navy.
