The U.S. Army has officially named its next-generation assault aircraft the MV-75 “Cheyenne II.” The aircraft is part of the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program and is designed to replace the UH-60 Black Hawk with a faster, longer-range tiltrotor platform. With the ability to fly roughly twice as fast and twice as far as current helicopters, the Cheyenne II represents a major leap in Army aviation capability.
