Hello Comrades, welcome back to the Horrible History of Russian Fighter Jets and this time we have a special episode. The major powers of the world all had flying wing designers of wide acclaim, The Horten Brothers, Jack Northrop, Geoffrey DeHavilland just to name a few among the many around the world. But the Soviet Union, and by extension Russia has one of the most storied roles in aviation history yet no flying wing designer who stands out… or so western sources would have you believe. His name was Boris Ivanovich Cheranovsky, a Ukrainian art student who dreamed of building aircraft that flew like birds, and this… is his story.
