But the Soviet Union, and by extension Russia has one of the most storied roles in aviation history yet no flying wing designer who stands out… or so western sources would have you believe. In reality, the Soviet Union had one of the boldest, most daring and quite honestly? Downright awful aviation designers for whom the flying wing wasn’t just an aviation project… it was an OBSESSION.
