These were the coolest drone designs at the DARPA Heavy Lift Challenge in my opinion. I was looking for innovative designs other than traditional single main rotor (Sikorsky-style) helicopters and quadcopters. If there is another competition in the future it may be interesting to have prizes for multiple classes, for example: quadcopter/multirotor, traditional single main rotor helicopter, and experimental. Then at the end they could compete for a grand prize.
