Watch as Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy KSS-III submarine Dosan Ahn Chang-ho, arrives at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt, just outside of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Speaking about the importance of submarines to Canada was Rear-Admiral David Patchell, the Commander of Maritime Forces Pacific. The KSS-III submarine is in active production by Hanwha Ocean at its shipyard in Geoje, South Korea, and is proposing for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP). The KSS-III submarine started the 2-month, over 14,000 km voyage from Jinhae Naval Base in South Korea to Canada on 25 March 2026. The KSS-III made logistical stops in Guam and Hawaii.
