From late February 2026 Several U.S. Navy warships were deployed across the Arabian Sea, Red Sea, and surrounding regions to support ongoing military operations against Iran. At the center of this deployment are two carrier strike groups, each built around a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and supported by guided-missile destroyers, cruisers, and submarines. These vessels have taken part in Operation Epic Fury, launching aircraft and long-range cruise missiles against Iranian military targets.
