During a military drill, Taiwan for the first time, launched rockets from US supplied HIMARS in China’s direction. The exercise was carried out near a river estuary on Taiwan’s western coastline in Taichung, an area considered a potential landing site for Chinese amphibious assault forces. The drills formed part of a broader set of defensive training activities focused on countering a potential invasion scenario. During the exercise, Taiwan launched multiple rockets from the HIMARS platform.
