In 2019, the United States Army initiated the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft program, a competition to develop the successor of the mythical Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk medium utility helicopter.
By January of 2021, Sikorsky and Boeing unveiled a joint proposal: The Defiant X, an agile, highly maneuverable rotorcraft that flies twice as fast as its predecessor.
With its state-of-the-art technology, its creators believe the Defiant X will revolutionize how the Army responds to future threats without sacrificing the traits that turned the Black Hawk into a legend.
