Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Joshua Wong could face a life sentence after pleading guilty to charges of collusion with foreign entities. He was charged under Beijing's National Security Law, which was introduced in 2020. Wong's friend Chung Ching Kwong — herself an activist at the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China — tells DW she finds the prosecution against Wong "excruciating."
