Ukraine is now dropping exploding killer ground robots out of bomber drones more than six miles behind Russian lines.
Apparently, giving drones their own explosives wasn't enough. Now the drones are delivering other drones, and these little robots are being sent into Russian rear areas specifically to attack positions and interfere with logistics.
The operation has a suitably dramatic name: Vivaldi. Ukraine's Third Army Corps says the offensive has already brought 125 square kilometers back under Ukrainian control, including 50 square kilometers recovered from Russian occupation.
And the strangest part may actually be what these machines are doing when they aren't blowing things up, because according to Ukrainian commanders, ground robots cleared 30 kilometers of mined routes in just two nights, without losing a single sapper.
