Operation “Veles” on the Kupiansk direction: The Defense Forces under the command of the 🇺🇦Khartiia Corps conducted a counteroffensive, advancing more than 15 km through underground gas pipelines into the enemy’s rear.
The underground maneuver was combined with drone strikes and an advance on the surface, cutting off Russian forces from the ability to enter the rear of Kupiansk. More than 30 Russian soldiers were taken prisoner, and over 100 were eliminated. The operation involved the Khartiia Brigade, the R.U.G. Regiment, GUR units (including the RDK and LSR), the Lava Regiment, and the Achilles Brigade.
