After weeks of a U.S. blockade of Iranian ports and Iranian actions to keep the strait of Hormuz effectively closed, the world finally saw Washington and Tehran come to a deal…sorta. What’s been announced isn’t so much a peace deal as a simple Memorandum of Understanding – establishing a sixty day ceasefire and window for talks, setting some for those negotiations, and giving immediate relief to the Iranian and global economy. So In this video I go into the Memorandum of understanding, what it does (and critically doesn’t say) why this situation may incredibly unstable, and why some of the biggest strategic winners and losers of the deal (if it holds) may not be the countries that signed it.
