ANTI-SHIP MISSILES March 1, 2024

The AGM-158C’s Land Attack Capability Has Been Eliminated.

According to a recently disclosed Pentagon assessment, the US Navy has abandoned plans to buy a subvariant of the AGM-158C Long Range Anti-Ship Missile with the potential to strike targets ashore. The service had previously expected the AGM-158C-3 variant to enter service this year, but further revisions in the scope of its development have pushed this back to the fall of 2026, when it will not have the additional ground-strike capability.
