These are the uniformed services and forces that are NOT technically military branches, including one with full military benefits, VA loan and all, that I’d never even heard of after 13 years in the Marine Corps. Hurricane hunters, disease fighters, the merchant mariners who took some of the worst casualty rates of WW2, and yes, we need to talk about the National Guard again.
