The T-38 Talon may be more than six decades old, but the Air Force is preparing to keep it flying even longer. The USAF is looking at another avionics modernization effort aimed at improving reliability, readiness, and flight safety. The reason is becoming increasingly important: delays to the Boeing T-7A Red Hawk mean the T-38 will likely remain in the pilot training pipeline much longer than originally planned.
