Russia launched a large-scale combined overnight attack on Ukraine using ballistic missiles and strike drones.
According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, at least 12 people were killed, including an Indian citizen, while dozens were injured.
Footage shows a Russian drone crashing into one of the residential buildings in Kyiv.
In Boryspil, a five-story apartment building was damaged, killing four people and injuring 13 others. Fifty residents were evacuated. In Kyiv, a strike on a railway depot killed seven people.
In Odesa and the surrounding region, drone and guided aerial bomb attacks left thousands of homes without electricity and damaged a border crossing with Romania as well as export infrastructure. Strikes also affected eight other regions.
Zelensky said Russia deliberately plans its attacks to maximize casualties and urged partners to speed up deliveries of missile defense systems this fall.
