Coyote Block 3NK is a counter-unmanned air system that can loiter and defeat drone swarms by using a non-kinetic payload that minimizes the potential for collateral damage. The system can then be recalled and redeployed for additional engagements. Raytheon produces both kinetic and non-kinetic Coyote variants that defeat small to large drone systems at longer ranges and at higher altitudes than similar class effectors. Summary
Raytheon Technologies, operating under the RTX brand, presents the Coyote Block 3NK as a specialized counter-unmanned air system designed to neutralize drone swarms. This particular variant utilizes a non-kinetic payload, a feature intended to significantly reduce the risk of collateral damage compared to traditional explosive methods. The system is engineered to loiter in an area of interest before engaging targets, after which it can be recalled and redeployed for subsequent missions. RTX manufactures both kinetic and non-kinetic versions of the Coyote platform, noting that these systems are capable of defeating small to large drone formations at extended ranges and higher altitudes than many similar effectors currently available. The company describes itself as the world's largest aerospace and defense enterprise, employing over 185,000 people globally with a focus on advancing technology to protect infrastructure and connect communities. While specific technical metrics regarding engagement distances or altitude ceilings are not detailed in the provided materials, the emphasis remains on the versatility and safety profile of the non-kinetic approach for modern aerial threats.
