As part of the SpaceX Transporter-16 mission, two more Polish ICEYE radar satellites were launched into orbit from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. This is an important step in the MikroSAR program and the construction of the first Polish POLSARIS constellation. Satellites equipped with SAR technology provide detailed images of the Earth regardless of weather or time of day. Thanks to them, the Polish Armed Forces gain an independent source of real-time reconnaissance information. The program launched in May 2025 under a contract worth approximately 860 million złoty. The first satellite has been in orbit since November 2025 and is undergoing testing.
