A contemporary 360-degree multi-mission sensor with a high degree of cross-functionality, interoperability, and adaptability is the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS). It offers defense against the most cutting-edge threats, such as tactical ballistic missiles, airplanes, and cruise missiles. It is the first sensor created especially for use within the Army’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense system.
