California-based defense technology company Epirus has integrated its Leonidas high-power microwave counter-drone system into a broader U.S. Army command-and-control network during Operation Jailbreak Falcon Fury.
Jailbreak Falcon Fury is a U.S. Army effort aimed at enabling counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) sensors, effectors, and software from different manufacturers to operate together through a common network.
Epirus said on X that it participated in the exercise to demonstrate how Leonidas can integrate with external sensors and command-and-control systems, enabling operators to detect and track drone threats and select the most appropriate countermeasure for each target.
This is an important step , let’s take a closer look in the nitty-gritty.
