Leonardo DRS has for the first time shown its Maritime-Mission Equipment Package (M-MEP) integrated on an autonomous unmanned surface vessel (AUSV). The M-MEP is a platform-agnostic suite of systems that are collectively designed to protect vessels from attacks involving single or multiple small to medium-sized unmanned aerial systems (UAS). TWZ’s Jamie Hunter talked to Bo Mancuso of Leonardo DRS about M-MEP as it was demonstrated on a Seamachine Stormrunner USV at the Navy League’s Sea Air Space 2026 trade event just outside Washington D.C..
